Colonel George W. Cullum

George W. Cullum

Born Feb 25, 1809 in New York City; Died Feb 28 1892 in New York City at age 83. Married to Elizabeth Hamilton, sister of Major General Schuyler  Hamilton, and granddaughter of Alexander Hamilton. Graduated West Point 1833, 3rd in his class.

Aide –De-Camp to Lt General Winfield Scott, General-in-Chief of the Armies of the U.S .Chief of Staff to Maj. Gen. Henry W. Halleck. Chief Engineer of the Dept. Of Missouri and Mississippi. Chief Engineer at the Siege of Corinth, Superintendent of West Point from 1864 to 1866. Published the Biographical Register  of Officers and Graduates of the U. S. Military Academy. Promoted to brevet Major General on March 13, 1865.Retired from active service on Jan 13, 1874 after 41 years of military service.

Robert A. Sulger

Served in the United States Army as Chief Assistant Instructor of Field Mess Operations, Army Quartermasters School Fort Lee Va. A Life member of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, ordnance Sgt., Sons of Veterans Reserve. Past Camp Commander of Lt. Ezra S. Griffin, Camp No. 8, Scranton, Pa.
